We are currently installing a system in a hotel and dealing with call charges to the room could have been a problem. With "Calling Cards" there is no need for expensive Hotel software or extra boxes. The customer simply buys a card similar to a top-up voucher which is registered to thier room on a pre pay basis. This negates the need to program clusters into the PBX and also increases revenue for the Hotel.

- Please feel free to leave a comment, we greatly appreciate any feedback we recieve. We hope you find our blog both interesting and informative. We are a VoIP telephony provider based in Derby UK. With over 35 years of telecom experience we are set to be the leading true VoIP provider in the UK. We are linked to Node4 and currently have many successful installations around the UK. Voice over Internet Protocol is set to overtake analogue telephony with Asterisk based PBX technology. VoIP gives us the capability to give multiple lines through one analogue with a single broadband connection. A typical 2Mb connection will give 6 extensions with reduced rate phone calls. This has been made possible by the introduction of SIP (System Initiation Protocol) giving a single phone line 10 SIP channels will allow the user to make 10 concurrent calls on this single line. Phase 2 installation due to commence at the Woodhouse Hotel Leamington. In conjunction with CTI Solutions.
A very interesting installation including external cables to out-buildings. This fast moving project is due to go live in the next 2 weeks.
