Voice over Internet Protocol is set to overtake analogue telephony with Asterisk based PBX technology. VoIP gives us the capability to give multiple lines through one analogue with a single broadband connection. A typical 2Mb connection will give 6 extensions with reduced rate phone calls. This has been made possible by the introduction of SIP (System Initiation Protocol) giving a single phone line 10 SIP channels will allow the user to make 10 concurrent calls on this single line. ipgenie ltd. Launches the IPGenie 8 (IPG8)

We are proud to announce the launch of the IPG8.

Aimed at the small, single site businesses this system comes with all of the features of the larger PBX for a fraction of the cost. Designed for upto eight users the branding becomes clear. The IPG8 will connect to one analogue line and/or one broadband line with SIP channels to give multiple concurrent calls. Each line can have a direct dial number (geographical or 0845) and all existing numbers can be transferred to the system.
